Driver

To collect and deliver patient specimens and results to and from MedLab Pathology as well as other laboratories both public and private on behalf of MedLab Logistics. Your responsibilities will include Liaising with clients, Medlab Pathology's customer support department and the Logistics administrators. To provide a timely, professional delivery service for current and future clients throughout the country. Managing specimen documentation, compiling correct information (both electronic and manual) and storing specimens following tempreture control procedures. To ensure all packaging received is compliant to legislation.

1)    To ensure all logistics activities are well coordinated to meet customers' requirements

2)      To maintain and build good client relationships 

3)      To act as a liaison person between the company and customers on all business related issues

4)      To be responsible in meeting all customers requirments and enhance customers  satisfaction at all times

5)      To ensure all specimens are transported in the correct manner following guidelines set out by MedLab Logistics and ADR guidelines. 

6)      To ensure the vehicle provided by MedLab Logistics is well maintained, clean and presentable at all times.

7)      To ensure all inventory records and data entry are properly managed with accuracy

8)      To adhere to all Company Health and Safety regulations and security procedures at all times.  Understands the principles of accreditation and QA procedures.

9)      This list is not exhaustive and flexibility is a key requirement.  Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time in line with the logistics departments requirements.

Authority 

• Checks and verifies all documentation received.
• Completes relevant logs and documentation as required by MedLab Logistics
• Ensures all clients receive a streamlined and efficient service at all times

(i) Educational Requirements

 Leaving Certificate

(ii) Experience Required

Two to three years experience in similar role.*

Has an appropriate knowledge of IATA and ADR guidelines.

A full clean driver licence is required.

Experience in the transport of dangerous goods in the past.*

 *An alternative combination of experience, education, and training determined by management to be equivalent to the foregoing.
